      Helsinki, Finland

      Picture
Bernie Luther, the Austrian tattooer, B Jo, the Russian tattooer, and myself at the Helsinki Tattoo Convention after party in Finland, 2001. BJo did the shark tattoo on my forearm earlier that day...

This was my sign at the Helsinki convention, and is the only copy I have left of that portrait by PJ Roane.

      Me and Jack

      Picture
Jack Dracula and myself. If you're ever in Philly, you should go meet him. He likes visitors, and has tons of fantastic stories to tell. He's in a home at 4712 Chester Ave. Bring him double cheesburgers from McDonalds, he loves them.

      Baltimore, MD

      Picture
Me getting tattooed by Seth Ciferri at Read Street Tattoo in Baltimore, MD, 2003. The first tattoo I remember seeing in my life was a butterfly on my dad's friend Bo's arm when I was about 4, so I had Seth commemorate that with a butterfly of my own. It turns out that the first tattoo he ever remembers seeing was also a butterfly. Small world, huh? Seth also built the 2 tattoo machines that I use most often. Nice stuff.

      Philly

      Picture
Me and the legendary Eddie Funk, aka Crazy Eddie, aka Philadelphia Eddie, at the Philadelphia premiere of "Hori Smoku: The Sailor Jerry Story", Prince Theater, Philadelphia. I had known Eddie or about 10 years at this point, but watching Hori Smoku made me realize that I had no pics of the two of us. Even though I felt like a cheese bag asking to take a picture, I had to do it after seeing the movie...

      Philly

      Picture
Me and Penny Funk. What a super sweet lady. I first met her when I was apprenticing and went to her and Eddie's house to buy some supplies with my mentor, Web. Since then I pretty much only ever see her at conventions, but she always remembers me and takes time to chat, asks about my kids, even introduced me to her daughter last time. The epitome of class, this lady.

      Uzi meets a living legend

      Picture
The legendary Jack Dracula, and my older son, Uzi. He didn't believe me when I told him that Jack Dracula was a real person and lived in Philadelphia, so I had to take him to meet Jack.
